ABSENCES AND TARDIES

Students are considered tardy if they arrive to school at 8:00 or later. You must bring them to the main office to check in. All doors lock at 8am. Please do not knock on side doors for entrance. You must come to the main entrance and ring the bell for entry. Pre-K thru 6th grade students citizenship grade will be lowered one letter grade if they receive 4 tardies per 9 week period. 7th-12th grade students will receive break detention after 4 tardies, 2 break detentions after a fifth tardy, and In-School Suspension after a sixth tardy per 9-week period.

Please notify the office if your student will be absent. Otherwise they will be counted given an unexcused absence. If your child will be absent due to a scheduled appointment, please notify the office the day before and send a doctor’s note upon return. Otherwise, it will not be counted as an excused absence.

7-12th grade students are only allowed 10 absences per semester/class. 1st-6th grades are allowed 20 per school year. Overages result in the student not receiving credit for that class/grade.

DRESS CODE

Teachers will check for dress code first thing each morning. Outerwear worn in the classroom must be Marshall wear. An MA polo must be worn under MA sweatshirts. Any student out of dress code will be sent to the office to call home for a change of clothes.

FRIDAYS:

On Fridays students are allowed to wear jeans for a $1 donation. Jeans must not have rips or holes.

Otherwise, students may wear a Marshall t-shirt or uniforms.

Elementary students may wear cheer suits or football jerseys on Fridays as well.

Parents please put your students names in outerwear and sweatshirts. These items tend to get lost frequently.

FACTS STUDENT/PARENT PORTAL

Parents, make sure you are signed in to the Facts Family Portal. You will receive a weekly progress report on Sunday evenings. Use the portal to keep track of absences, assignments, grades and service hours.

SPORTS

Sports passes are available in the office or at the gate. $125 for a family pass or $75 for a single pass. MA students do not need a pass and get in free. This pass allows entry to all REGULAR HOME GAMES. You will have to pay for playoff games.
