Each year the Kindergarten students at Marshall Academy celebrate the 100th Day of School. Sometimes this tradition is accompanied by a balloon release which includes a note about the event and school. Grady Brooks, a senior at Marshall Academy, participated in the Mississippi Electric Cooperative Youth Tour in Washington D.C. June 22-28. Grady, along with eighty-one other delegates from Mississippi, toured many of the historical and cultural sites during the tour and visited with many of Mississippi’s national leaders.

Week 2 of Chapel was directed by Trey Frank, Director of Youth Ministries at First Baptist Church Holly Springs. Trey played a little Simon Says with the students before delivering the devotion. The weekly devotion verse was 2 Peter 5:7-casting your Anxiety on the Lord.
Four Marshall Academy Varsity Cheerleaders and two Jr High Cheerleaders were selected for UCA All-American during the squads home camp July 31-August 2. Congratulations to Senior Cheerleaders: Erin Burleson, Kristy Wang, Bailee Baxter, and Faith Shankle; and Freshman Cheerleaders: Nalisa Prak and Ava Rodgers for being selected as UCA All-American Cheer Members.
Students in 7th-12th Grade have started new enrichment schedules on Wednesday & Friday. The new programs seek to feed the student’s mind, body, and spirit. Everyone had a great time at the PTC Back to school Breakfast this morning. It was great to see parents and students fellowship together and celebrate the beginning of the school year.
2nd Grade has been busy with STEM Activities in the first two weeks of school from creating a crazy drinking straw, making raisins dance, and mixing primary paint colors to create a Mixed-Up Chameleon.
