Special Visitor in 4th Grade

Ms. Mary Martha Henson, Thad Cochran’s Legislative Director, visited with the Marshall Academy 4th Grade class on Tuesday, February 20. Ms. Henson talked with the students about working in the Legislature, how a bill is introduced, and how corporation works between the Senate and House of Representatives.

Multiplication Sundae Party

Each year the Marshall Academy 3rd Grade Class has a Sundae Party Incentive while learning their Multiplication facts. As the students progress they earn another part of their “sundae” . Here are a few pictures of the students enjoying their Sundaes. Great job 3rd Grade!!!

On Friday, February 19, a Arbor Day Ceremony was held at Montrose, Home of the Holly Springs Garden Club. Guest Speaker – Johnny Flynt

On Monday, February 5, Coach Johnny Flynt from Oxford came to talk with the student body about being GREAT in the game of life. G-God 1st, R-Repect (earn it), E-Effort, A-Attitude, and T-Thank you! Coach Flynt was a former teacher and Assistant Baseball Coach at Ole Miss.

Math in the world

Mrs. Anita Barnett came to the 6th Grade Math Class, to share with the students, how they will use MATH in the real world with different jobs and businesses. She helped teach a lesson on calculating square feet.
