The Marshall Academy speech class recently presented their demonstration speeches. A demonstration speech is a form of informative speech where the speaker’s primary purpose is to teach the audience how to complete a task, and this is largely accomplished by demonstrating the task through a series of steps. Junior, Wil Summerlin gave his speech on how to pitch a baseball. Other speech topics included how to make lemonade, how to make brownies, how to put on make-up, how to play a guitar & how to prepare a fishing pole. All Juniors at Marshall Academy are required to take Speech as a semester course.
