Last week Blake Martin and Whitt Rodgers, both Juniors at Marshall Academy, traveled to Jackson, MS for the Youth Leadership Conference sponsored by the Mississippi EPA. Blake and Whitt traveled with other youth from our area as delegates for Northcentral Electric Power Association. During the conference students studied the finer aspects of leadership, enjoyed a first-hand look at our state government in action, sharpened leadership skills, and heard presentations from government leaders, local business leaders and rural electric power association professionals. Blake and Whitt will have the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. June 11-16 to join more than 1,700 other delegates from around the country for the Washington D.C. Youth Tour.
