Prudential Spirit of Community Award Winners

Juniors, Chrissy Farris and Ciara Boyle along with Senior Duncan Baker (not pictured) received the Prudential Spirit of Community Award at the MA Academic Awards Program. These students were awarded this great honor for their outstanding service to the community.

Zack Ross Memorial Award Winners

Juniors, John Tomlinson and Sarah Poteet recently received the Zack Ross Memorial Leadership Award at the MA Academic Program. This award is given in memory of Zack Ross a former student that was killed in a car accident in 1999. Both John and Sarah are outstanding young people that represent the quality of students at Marshall Academy well.

ABC Award Winners

The Academic Betterment Competition is held annually on the campus of Marshall Academy for District 1 schools from the MAIS. MA had 17 winners this year with 2 winners placing at the State level! MA had first place finishes in Spanish 1, 11th American History, Civics, Earth/Space Science, World Geography, and 8th American History. MA students placed second in Civics, World History, 8th Math, Earth/Space Science, and Physical Science. Third place finishes were won in Spanish ll, Physical Science, Life Science, 8th American History, World Geography, and 8th English. Also, Ms. Mayela Armendariz placed 3rd in the State in Spanish 1 and Mr.Jake Jones placed 5th in the state in Earth/Space Science. State competition consisted of all 10 MAIS districts representing 118 schools!! "We are so proud of the academic achievements of our students.
